Sherman Live Theatre
Established in the Spring of 2008, Black Sheep Productions serves as the Sherman’s sub-committee for theater. Its goal is to provide community members with an opportunity to experience the transformative power of live theater.
With an emphasis on providing performance and artistic opportunities for young people in the area, Black Sheep continued to expand its efforts by reaching out to talented members of the community to broaden the spectrum of the Sherman’s theatrical goals.
Sherman Live Theatre endeavors to:
- Work hand in hand to convey literary works, large-scale musicals and children’s shows to our audiences
- Provide an opportunity for artists in the community to participate in high quality productions and hone their talents through the combination of skilled direction and superior stage craft
- Showcase significant and challenging works that have been overlooked
- Bring quality entertainment to expand the ongoing revitalization of the arts in the community
- Utilize the Sherman Theater’s state of the art resources on its historic stage
